Thailand Privilege Visa Bronze Membership is the newest package offered by the Thailand Privilege Program. This membership tier was created to provide a more cost-effective way to join Thailand Privilege and is now the most affordable way for you to get the Thailand Elite Visa. While lacking some of the more high-end benefits of the other memberships, Bronze tier still provides the easiest, most convenient, and most rewarding way to live in Thailand long-term or visit frequently.
Note: Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. (TPC), the government-owned organization managing the program, announced that Bronze membership will only be available for a limited time. As of this writing, it will be offered from December 15, 2024, to June 30, 2025. While it is possible that TPC will make this membership a permanent fixture if it proves popular, this is not confirmed. So, if you are interested in applying for this membership, act fast before time runs out.
Benefits of Bronze Membership
Unlike Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Reserve memberships, the Bronze tier does not include any Thailand Privilege Points in order to keep the cost low. However, Bronze members still retain virtually all of the benefits afforded to the other membership tiers. These benefits include, but are not limited to:
Convenient Long-Term Visa: Bronze membership includes the coveted Thailand Elite Visa, which is a multiple-entry visa with a stay limit of 1 year, extendable to two years. This means you can come and go freely to Thailand and stay for up to 2 years without having to leave the country to refresh your stay limit. The Thailand Elite Visa provided by Bronze membership is valid for 5 years, so you don’t need to do frequent visa renewals.
Convenient Airport Services: As a Bronze member, you get access to the fast track at immigration in Thai international airports as well as shuttle services, access to luxury lounges, and assistance from Thailand Privilege staff to make your journey through the airport swift and stress-free.
Assistance with 90-Day Reporting: Normally, enlisting TPC agents to complete your 90-day reporting to Thai immigration costs Privilege Points. Bronze members do not get Privilege Points, but they still get one free use of this service, and a discount on all future uses. Alternatively, as a Bronze member, you can simply drop off your 90-day reporting application to TPC’s Sathorn HQ and they will perform this service for free.
Exclusive Deals and Discounts: All Thailand Privilege Membership packages, including Bronze, get a massive selection of discounts, special offers, and privileges at vendors across the country. Examples include but are by no means limited to: buy-one-get-one movie tickets, discounts on real estate purchases, exclusive access to seminars and networking events, special deals at restaurants and retail shopping centers, and many, many more.
Bronze Membership Eligibility Criteria and Price
Unlike other long-term Thai visas, there are no strict eligibility requirements for Bronze membership. As with all other Thailand Privilege memberships, there are no education, employment, investment, age, marriage, or financial requirements to qualify.
To be eligible for Bronze membership, the main thing you need to do is simply pay the membership fee. While this is a significant investment, you only need to pay it once for the entire membership duration, giving you plenty of time to leverage the benefits and get your money’s worth.
The other primary qualification is a background check. The Thai government will do this for you, and as long as you have no record of serious criminal activity, Thai immigration penalties, bankruptcy, or mental incompetence, you will pass the background check.
Beyond that, anyone of any age or nationality (except North Korea) who has a valid passport can join Thailand Privilege.
The price for a 5-year Thailand Privilege Bronze membership with the included Elite visa is 650,000 THB, which is roughly 19,000 USD.
How to Apply for Bronze Membership
The first step in applying for any Thailand Privilege membership is to contact a General Sales and Services Agent (GSSA). These private organizations are partnered with the Thai government through TPC, and are tasked with providing information and FREE application assistance to any and all Thailand Privilege Applicants.
A GSSA will explain your options, answer your questions, help you collect and prepare the required documentation, submit your application on your behalf, and keep you updated on your application’s status through their contacts at TPC. Their services make getting a Bronze membership faster, easier, and with maximum chances for approval.
Once you have contacted a GSSA (like us), you will need to work with them to collect the required documents, which include:
- A Thailand Privilege Bronze Membership application form, filled in and signed
- A Personal Data and Protection Act (PDPA) form, signed
- Color photocopy/scan of your passport biodata page which includes your personal information and signature
- A recent passport-sized photo
Your GSSA will help you collect and prepare these documents, either in person or over the phone. They will then ensure that your application packet is submitted correctly to TPC. At this point, TPC will conduct the background check mentioned above.
This step will take around 4-6 weeks, and if you pass, you will be sent an approval letter and an invoice for the membership fee. Your GSSA will assist you with making this payment securely, and once TPC receives it, they will send you a welcome letter and a member ID.
With these in hand, you can arrange to have your new Thailand Elite Visa affixed to your passport at the nearest Thai Embassy, at a Thai international airport, or in Thailand at the immigration office, whichever is most convenient for you. You’ll also receive instructions on how to get a physical membership card, which will make leveraging the many Thailand Privilege benefits much easier.
The Bottom Line
The Thailand Privilege Program and the included Elite Visa is the easiest and most rewarding way to live in Thailand long-term, and Bronze membership is the most affordable way into the program. Other long-stay Thai visas, while not as expensive, are all much more difficult to qualify and apply for, and do not include even a fraction of the value-added benefits.
If you are a frequent traveler to Thailand or you want a comfortable and convenient life in the Land of Smiles without the need for excess luxury perks, then Bronze membership is perfect for you. It strikes the ideal middle ground between ease of access, VIP privileges, and affordability.
